DAP DOUBLE STANDARD- VIDEO SEX ANWAR

Padang Serai MP N. Gobalakrishnan has taken the DAP to task over its stand on the sex video scandal which the party had described as “gutter politics.”
He said the DAP had also been guilty of exposing a video implicating former Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker D.P. Vijandran 22 years ago.
Gobalakrishnan said the DAP was practising double standards with regard to its stand on the Vijandran video and the current scandal involving a woman believed to be a foreign prostitute and a man said to resemble Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in a video recording.
“The DAP exposed Vijandran in a sex video and justified its action in the name of public interest and even asked previous MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu to resign over the issue.
“But now the DAP talks about gutter politics when the sex video implicates Anwar.
“The DAP seems to have selective memory,” said Gobalakrishnan, adding that challenging the party to admit it was wrong in exposing the Vijandran sex tape if it wanted to defend Anwar.
“Otherwise, the DAP is only showing the public its true colours – that it is willing to compromise principles to achieve its political ambition,” he said, responding to a recent comment by the DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang that the video implicating Anwar was “nothing more than gutter politics.”
Gobalakrishnan said Lim was among those who demanded that Vijandran resign as Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker after the DAP national chairman Karpal Singh exposed the tape implicating Vijandran in 1989.
Kedah Gerakan Youth chief Tan Keng Liang said Pakatan Rakyat leaders were quick to defend their clique without any corroborative evidence to substantiate their defence.
“I am amazed that PAS and the DAP leaders deny that the man in the video was not one of their leaders without even watching the video,” said Tan, a lawyer
